Where to get ringtones?

Nothing makes you and your cell phone stand out like a ring tone. Ring tones are not just the sound of a phone ringing anymore. It is common to have the many choices of different tones (some that actually sound like a phone ringing). However song clips are the latest fad.

Now you can have your favorite song play whenever a friend calls. You can even choose different songs for each of your contacts. If you get bored of the same song or have a new favorite artist just upload that tone to your cell phone and activate it. And if you decide to, you can change it back to a normal tone whenever you need to for example when you are at work.

So where do you find ring tones? In most phones, simply go into your phone’s media folder and in the ring tone settings page and select an option of “Find more ring tones.” This will take you to a page where you can search and browse for the ring tone of your choice.

The page may sort the ring tones by Genre, Artist, Song Title, etc. If you don’t know the name of the song but know the artist, you can choose to browse all of the ring tones that are available for that artist until you see a song title that looks familiar. Most pages featuring ring tones will allow you to preview ring tones before choosing one.

If you have no idea who sings the song or what the title is, a couple of options will help you find the ring tone you desire. First of all, if the song you want is currently very popular on the music charts, it might be easy to find it with the following method. Browse ring tones within the genre of music. For example, if you know it is a hip hop song, you may browse popular ring tones within the genre of hip hop; there is a good chance you’ll happen upon the ring tone you are seeking among the popular tones within your chosen genre.

The other way to find a ring tone without knowing the artist or song title is to use a search engine like Google to help you figure out what song it is. Simply type the word “lyrics” (not in quotes) followed by as many lyrics you can remember. To narrow your search try typing in lyrics that seem to be the most unique. This will help you figure out the song’s title and artist, and then you can easily find the ring tone for this song if one is available.
